Malcolm Harker, the current CEO and a major shareholder in Harkers Engineering, conceived the idea of cell machining of large complex casings involving multi-surface machining. The basic concept is simple, as the diagram below shows. Please click the diagram to see the full-sized version.

The cell comprises of a CNC controlled vertical boring machine with two horizontal floor type CNC boring machines capable of both milling and drilling operations, with computer controlled integration between all of the various axes, so as to co-ordinate the multi path machining concept.

We have arranged the machine listings as individual machines, although they are of course capable of being reconfigured into 3 cell units if one wishes to faithfully follow the modular concept. They are, however, also available individually to supplement you existing capacity.
